i'm about to go home for the first time!

yay FALL BREAK!

everything's still so awesome here! i absolutely looove it!

classes are great, too. i had a pop-test in sociology the other day.. but made a 100! (i better, since that's my major). and philosophy is really cool and spanish is good and english is a lot of writing, but a good class. anthropology is as boring as imaginable, but fine. i really like all  my teachers and classes, so it's awesome that a rarely ever dread going to class!

it's been a lot of fun, especially the weekends! and IV is soo good too. love it. and dinnertime is always interesting. our dorm room rocks. friends are great, as are spontaneous happenings. laguna beach and gilmore girls parties are really really fun. bible studies are great, too. we have hilarious suitemates and always barge in on each other and hang out. franklin street is soo cool, too. my family visited yesterday before the game, and that was SOOO wonderful to see them and have fun! i haven't seen them since i moved out! bridgette's coming up to visit one weekend, too! i also got my hair cut, so i've cut off nine inches since june. joined carolina fever (soo cool and loud and peppy and fun) and college republicans and iv and all that. racquetball is sooo fun, so is tennis here and also ultimate frisbee. speaking of fun things..

i have had absolutely no free time to write or update or even sit in my room, except now because i'm skipping the summer reading discussion!

i miss my family, but other than that.. wow!!!!!

it's so busy and fun and exciting!

i don't even know what to say.. it just rocks.

though in the last three days i've seen things i have never seen before, it's quite eye opening. and different. yeahh.

i've hung out with and met SOOO many new people, it's awesome!!!

and i have friends in all of my classes except espanol, so that's fabulous. classes start tomorrow.. that's not so fabulous..

I HAVE NEVER WALKED SO MUCH IN MY LIFE EITHER.

lordy lordy, i've walked like eight miles every day, and it's hot too. franklin street is thirty minutes away, if you walk fast.. and i've been there six times already.. and back, too. my closest class is twenty five minutes uphill, too! but ehh it's justa  little walking..

our dorm room is THE best!!!! i think i'll post pictures at the end if i have time before i leave again. but i looove it. and the roomie too!

AND i was half a foot from SEAN MAY last night!!!!!!! AHHH how exciting!!!! i would've touched him but i was just standing there in shock. he's HUGE sheesh. but soo cool. that was at fall fest.. veeeery fun!

we have FIVE fans in our room, alwaya on high. people, be thankful if you have air conditioning!

let's see.. it's a little lonely around here with almost everyone gone off already. not much to do.. only elon (trevor) and carolina are left..

and i am sooo ready to go now! it's weird seeing everyone's away messages and journals about college happenings already, i'm a little jealous of that! and i like packing. but seriously.. i have so much stuff, i don't know how it'll fit into the car to get there, and then onto my half of our incredibly small and non-airconditioned room. hmm.. we shall see. i'm working on my picture stuff, which is kinda hard.. since we all know how much i loove pictures and how many i have.. i'm doing one for each group of people on cardboard ocvered in pretty paper, like i made for laur and the boys, and some are on bulletin boards or those pretty french ribbon thing boards. it's fun though..

i leave friday for COLLEGE ! and my move in time is 10:30! i can't wait to meet my roomie too, i really like her, as much as i can, through all of our emails and stuff!

my room is becoming really empty and desolate now though.

bridgie's tennis has started up, she's captain! and so i went to TEN hours of tennis matches of hers saturday, it was so hot and a lot of the girls were reallyreally sick cuz of the heat. but bridgie won! i miss playing soo much, i wanted to go out there and win soo badly. but at least sean and i have been playing tennis pretty much every day for the last month, that's fun.

right now bridgette is at this sweet sixteen party that is INCREDIBLY outrageous. she's wearing a prom dress to it! the guys have to wear tuxes, it's at the ballroom at the ritzy hotel downtown, catered food and cocktails, the invitation was nicer than any wedding invitation i've seen.. it's really out there. it def rivals the ones on 'my super sweet sixteen..'

my mom's cooking me all of my fave foods this week, yay!

i'm almost done w/ summer reading, it's really long-winded though..

ok. so i've said goodbye to four of my very closest friends in the world within the last 24 hours.

wow.

i'm doing alright, i think. i have at least stopped crying for a little bit.

i miss the huge bear hugs where i can't breathe.

i miss the conversations that last all night long.

i miss the lazy summer days we've spent together.

i miss knowing that you're not two or ten minutes away from me at all times.

i miss the fact that you're really not my roomie anymore.

i miss your house, because it's not my other house anymore, cause you're not there.

i miss all of our car trips together.

i even miss you making fun of me.

i miss the fact that i won't be taking any pictures of us together for the next few months.

but.. we're gonna be ok.

i don't think i imagined it would be this hard & come so quickly..

yesterday and last night and this morning were amazing.

(i know i say this a lot, but it's still so true.)

it was one of the very best nights of the summer.

i can't imagine life without seeing these girls at least every other day, at all hours of the day, talking and laughing and boobtagging and eating and swimming and sometimes doing nothing, yet still having the greatest times imaginable.

my mood changes drastically about every five minutes nowadays.

one minute i'll be really happy, then some little thing happens and i become mad at the world, then i become depressed because i hate being mad and other people are worse off than i am, by far. and then i'll be happy again.

it's kinda tiring, really.

i can't go a day without crying, haven't since sunday or so; the main reason is because of moving out/friends leaving/leaving everything behind. and it's so soon. but i try not to talk about it too much. then i get really happy thinking about carolina, cuz i am excited in most areas, then i get worried. it's confusing. but right now i'm happy, so that's good, i think?

these last few days have been good..

went majorly shopping for dorm room stuff after i talked to my rommie.. we're almost completely done with stuff, and i got to use soo much money on my new debit card. that was fun, especially since my parents are putting all that money back on. so we're going blue and green and yellow for the dorm room, we've got awesome stuff already!

monday night was the laguna beach sleepover w/ lauren, sarah, and caro!! it was pretty fun, except laguna beach wasn't as great as we had expected. i don't like all the new people on it. and i think we're all starting to be a little sad now about moving away from each other, among other things. and we FROZE to death sleeping. i curled my feet into my suitcase thingy to try to get warm ha.

bridgette and i went shopping again yesterday.. we totally lost each other, but i got the cutest trash can ever!! i love it.

and today has been fabulous! my mommy comes home today! i woke up at 10 and made blueberry pancakes (yes, you'll get them mitch). then at 12:30 we met at lauren's, except only i was on time. saw the cutest thing ever (!!) and then sarah came and we ordered lots and lots of pizza.

pool time!! soooo hot and soooo much fun w/ sarah, caro, lauren, nathan, mitch, trevor, john, kinda steven, chad, and other random people.. lots of dunking and ball throwing and sunglasses incidents and eating and boob tagging and BURNAGE. i'm so red. but it was sooo wonderful!!

so last night/this morning turned out to be so absolutely wonderful and spontaneous!

lauren and i met the boys (matt, zak, teddy, john, and steven) at outback after many changes of previous plans. outback was soo hilarious and then the lovely sarah joined us! teddy stared at lauren a little too much, zak kept throwing food on my legs, and the boys kept taking sugar shots. and we moved seats oh about twenty times. but it was so fun. lauren and i also ate zak's boomin onion. then after interesting visits home to grab overnight crap, the girls ended up back with the guys to watch blazing saddles.. i laughed a lot, and sarah laughed at me. then..

but instead we saran wrapped/toilet papered/painted/shaving creamed matt's car (payback from tag..) while the guys were all still inside!!!

it was HILARIOUS..

so then we waited in the bushes for him to come out and see his car.. he yelled like a monster and we girls ran like crazy for the safety of sarah's house. supposedly he yelled again like a bear/dog/monster, but i was too busy running.

sarah's parents had fun hiding on the porch with us, all they did in return was put the wad of crap on top of lauren's car.. but payback is now officially in order..

yay!   ahh a continuation of the beach.. :)

ok so then the four girls headed to hollywood video to get some movies, but it closes at 11.. we got there at 10:56 and they locked the door on us. but yay for blockbuster being so much cooler and open til 12.

went back to sarah's and she made her OWN egg drop soup.. amazing. and yummy! so we ate.. a lot.. and then watched our movies (lucky 7 is really cute) til 4 and i had so much fun. freezing though. then ihop was in order for breakfast!

fun times, fun times.

i now absolutely love spontaneous happenings/adventures.. especially with three of the greatest girls!

it's nice to be getting slightly more sleep this week, but i do miss everything from last week a lot.

i finally got the new harry potter book yesterday afternoon and finsihed it earlier this morning. it was reallyreally good, as expected.. but i don't really wholly like the ending, just cuz i liked that certain character that dies. but it was so good, and now i have another year or two to wait for the next one.

a yucky something arrived in the mail today.

it's almost sorta starting to sink in.. in less than a month, a lot of my friends will be gone already.. some in three weeks, thankfully i'm in five. i want to spend as much time as possible with everyone before we all leave each other. 95% of my friends will be yanked out away from me (as from everyone else) in so short a time.. wow.

rainbow express is wonderful! i don't know if i really recommend walking 150 kids, half with special needs, down the street to two hours at the park in 90 degree weather though. but it was fun, even though tiring. sam liked her ice cream, as was obvious by her now-brown shirt. i'm having a lot of fun, and i think everyone else is too. even sam.. she loves our buddy, brianne, sooo much.. it's adorable. whenever she sees brianne, she squeals! soo cute, esp cuz that's about the only sound she makes. i got sam out of her wheelchair into the sanbox yesterday and also into the tent. and she looves music time too. ahh it's so cute. and changing her diaper and feeding her everything isn't quite so bad anymore, i figured out a way to eat a granola bar for lunch now instead of nothing. and still.. yay for starbucks & cream and bean runs!

last night was dinner at laurie's with all the hundred other rainbow express crew. london broil, caesar salad, garlic bread, fruit salad, and cheese hashbrown casserole. yummmmy, and for so many people too.. that woman's amazing.

where to begin?!

it's only been one day and i am utterly exhausted. (not to mention i have to get up at 4:30 in the morning to go to the airport and then straight to a long, action packed day of rainbow express..) thank goodness for coffee runs w/ beth, lauren, and sam! i just might be relying on coffee (or froofroo coffee) in college after all..

it was an awesome day though! i didn't have one minute to myself.. i had to forgo snack, lunch, AND bathroom priveledges all day for myself cuz samantha can't feed herself, and i have to change her diaper. so i can't leave her, or brianne, ever to just peeeeeeee. ahh! but that's ok, thank goodness for my 'iron bladder.' it was so cool. we did crafts and music and dancing with streamers (even with sam in her wheelchair!) and WHEELCHAIR RACES and painting and parachutes and relay races and singing and puppet shows and veggie tales and a TRAIN RIDE! that was cool.. haha, i'm such a child :)

so it was hard and it def wore me out, but it was so amazing too!

i was gonna post pictures from today, but there are too many and i have to get up way too early.

i have sam (samantha), an eight year old that's quadripelegic, has cerebral palsy, and suffers spasms. she isn't potty-trained, so i get to change her diaper. but i'm superexcited! i can't wait.. we'll see what the feeling is at the end of this long, yet rewarding, week.. 

i've been taking a lot of jacuzzis and reading a lot of james patterson this week. and shopping.

i can't believe the summer's going by so quickly..

one awesome summer day w/ two wonderful girls!

i have a roommate!! and i'm superexcited! cuz ahb from ctops knows her and loves her and so yay. alison, from winston salem. we're excited to start shopping.. of course, who isn't?! we're in craige next yar.. which means.. no air conditioning. yes. none. at all. but that's ok! a ton of people are in craige too, especially people from church, so yay!

and i have my schedule! anthropology (habitat and humanity), spanish (2X), sociology (my major, i'm pretty sure now!!), philosophy (ethics), and english (12). only one 8 am class (tuesdays and thursdays) and i'm done on friday by noon. so i really like my schedule, mostly cuz it consists of no math and no science!!

and i have my laptop! i love this thing, but i need a name for it or something. it's too.. black.. and dull (on the outside). except i'm not good at finding internet out of town yet, my dad's working on my computer skills a little.

i think that's most of my update-on-college-happenings thing.

my mommy's home after traveling from denver to ohio to indiana to michigan to ohio and then straight to alabama, but she leaves in like two days for denver again. i'll miss her.. again!
